Took off throttle body to replace thermostat and now the car won't stay started. We replaced the air mass flow sensor. Without plugging the wires in the sensor the car stays started but stays in a fast idle. When we plug the wires in the car shuts off and won't stay started.

Check to see if you screwed up the throttle body gsket and is givin g you a vacuum leak. Also check the line for the pcv valve, thosea re plastic and tend to break. Then run a scan instead of replacing parts to see what's screwed up. Also if your duct work has ahole in it from maf to tbi then it won't run either.
