2003 BMW X5 Repair Question

Change cvv , engine idols ok ,when gas pedal applied it has no power, runs rough and smells like it burning lean.
I was tol to disconnect battery then reset key for 10 second twice with power back on . Now it's telling me engine failure program. Also my abs and brake light is on.

If the battery was disconnected for an y period of time, the computers on the vehicle have to relearn their functions. It could take a little time.

This is possibly an internal failure in the instrument cluster.
