Hi my BMW 318ci se when I start the car my engine management light is flashing for 20 seconds and then stays on and also it is like its misfiring could it be spark plugs or the leads

Could be either or both. Get the code pulled and we can go from there.

Miss fires come from low compression, bad plug bad wire/coil, injector, vacuum leak or electreical issue
