Volvo 240 Engine Problem
Why is the emission light on in the dash the car is running and driving perfectly it came on about a month ago but went off now it is on again for about a week

The Engine Computer detected a problem, set a diagnostic fault code, and turned on the Check Engine light to let you know. The place to start is by having the code read. That will get you to the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis.
