My key got stock in the ignition. Last night I wanted to turn my car off but I couldn't turn it all the way back to take it out. Out of rage I broke it off the remote that locks/unlocks the car automatically. I can still twist the key to turn it on but the car just shuts off.
What can I do to fix this?

Remove the cowling around the top of the steering column. Take a small split pin or something similar open it for extra length, turn the key all the way anti clockwise to where it would usually pull out. Then turn it about a quarter turn clockwise to where ignition lights come on. Looking at the barrel there is a small hole to the side of where the key is inserted. With the barrel in this position the split pin should insert into the hole and pull in a retaining tab allowing the barrel to be removed from the housing.
