Hello. I just bought a 2002 celica but it is located in a different city. The seller says the fuel pump is faulty but the car will still drive. He said it bogs a little when you are above 70 kms but otherwise he still drives it. He has provided me with the part and I can do the work myself. But I need to get it home. If I go slow and steady could I make it back to my city about 70 kms away? Or would it be best to do the switch before even trying to move it? It is the middle of winter so I'd rather do it at home in my garage. Could use the advice before I risk it.

We can't tell you if this car is going to quit all together or not. The safest thing to do is tow it. Who knows if this guy is even right about the diagnosis. That's not a common way for fuel pumps to fail.
