i did over-torqued head bolts, all 10 bolts by 17 ft lb. No bad sounds. I used New gasket and new bolts.
Toyota Camry 2002 4 cyl. By book 59 ft lb I did 75 ft lb. What to do in this situation?
new gasket? New bolts? Start over?

Hi there,

Personally i do not thing that it would be a problem, i would be inclined to leave well enough alone and see how it goes, but if you do decide to re do it, gasket & head bolts must be replaced.

On an iron head and block, I would not be concerned, but an aluminum block and head is different, you risk breaking head bolt and stripping block threads.

I would redo gasket and bolts (do NOT reuse old bolts, even though they are new).
