My saturn day time running lights started to flicker randomly and the only way to stop it is turning the headlights on manually. When I do that, my inside interior lights start to flicker, but my headlights are fine. The car also seems to have less power, when I open my door the door bell ring sounds like it is dying. I took it in and he garage said that it is most likely (but not sure) the E.C.M Does this sound likely? Could it be the B.C.M as well. I just want to make sure I order the right part.

Ok, that is what I was also thinking, that is why I was questioning why they mentioned the ECM instead of the BCM

Just to add to this one I have seen a lot of bad bcms on the saturn vues the most common thing I have seen happen is door locks cycle while your driving door locks and keyless entry become inop lights flash etc. You cant just order a bcm and put it in yourself you have to take it to the dealer and they have to program the new one with correct mileage etc.

The private shops dont have the gm service stall to program it you will have to take it to a gm dealer like chevy have them look at it to make sure that you need a bcm.
