Why does my car start bad when i put water or anti freeze

I have Nissan altima 02 every time i put water in my resavoiur it starts up really bad it shakes and takes a long time to start

1st time I've heard such a problem water causing this type of problem anyway check/test the coolant temperature sensor and fuel pressure-start here and then let us know

If you're having to put coolant/water in your resevoir then you are losing coolant/water somewhere. Sounds to me like a blown head gasket could be the culprit. It sounds like as the vehicle sits coolant is leaking into one of your cylinders, hence the low level in the resevoir and the rough start up. Run a compression test on all the cylinders, they should all be within 10psi of eachother.
