2002 Mercury Sable Wondering Identical Taurus Been Researching Detail Changing

I was wondering if the 2002 sable is identical to the 2002 Taurus? I have been researching the detail of changing out my own heater core and when I type in the sable it comes up as a Taurus videos? And maybe a list of tools I need to replace it and the hoses going to it because of a small leak I have in the hose. Thank you
