What would cause a vibration/rattle noise when I press on the gas pedal when going from 2nd to 3rd gear?
I recently had the entire clutch assembly replace in my 2002 Mazda Miata. When I test drove the car after the repair was completed, I noticed a vibration/rattle when I press the gas pedal when going from 2nd to 3rd gear. I hear the noise when I'm pressing on the gas pedal. What do you think is causing this noise and could it have been caused by the installation of the new clutch?

cat converter shield is a very common sound. the outer cover rattles. check to see if the mounts are broken on the cover.
