2002 Lexus RX 300 Repair Question

Universal joint on rear drive shaft is worn. No listing for replacement u joint. Toyota says i have to buy a whole new drive shaft for 1500 dollars.
This seems a bit extreme. Is there a replacement u joint that would fit and/or what are my other options. thanks.

we can't get to see if there is no ujoint availabale any longer through our manual. Best bet wold be to call a driveshaft place if there is one around you and see if they have them available instead of an auto parts place. It would be a place that manufactures driveshafts and balances them.
