I tried to start the lexus but it didn't start the lights on the dash came on but didn't start and it did not make a clicking noise. So my husband change the battery and it did the same thing. It did start neither did it make a clicking noise to say it was the starter. Could you tell me what's wrong. THANKS

You have a problem with the starter circuit and it could be any of the following :

1. Immobilizer is not being deactivated. Could be a fault with the key. Try using a spare key.

2. A faulty starter motor or its wiring. Ensure the wire to the starter solwenoid is not dislodged and power supply is available when igntition key is turned.

3. Gear shift postion not in P or N or the switch is faulty.
