Yes I asked a Question yesterday about my overdrive engaging at 3500 rpm it should be 2000 rpm what is the problem it did this after changing the trans pressure sensor after the check engine light came on in the dash. Thanks for now.

it may be the wrong sensor or connectionproblem recheck it

The sensor was bought at a Chrusler dealer it should be the right one i already check the connection everything is ok. at 3500 rpm overdrive kicks in and drops to 2000 rpm. but it should engage at 2000 rpm Im going to change the two speeds sensors to see what happens.

depends on vehicle speed and engine speed. engine temp has to be at 180 or above as well.

why did you change it to begin with??

I changed it because the light in the dash sayed check engine i put the scanner on it sayed trans pressure sensor.

codes never identify bad parts just failed systems.

what was the code number???

it may have been referring to the governor pressure sensor.

where exactly was the sensor you changed??

In the back of the trans right side the Chrysler dealer told me where it was on the left side you have two speeds sensors and sold me the sensor the jeep is like new condition.

SYMPTOM
P0846 - 2C PRESSURE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT

WHEN MONITORED
Whenever the engine is running.

SET CONDITION
The appropriate code is set if one of the pressure switches are open or closed at the wrong time in a given gear .

POSSIBLE CAUSES


•Related relay DTC's present
•Intermittent conditions
•2C pressure switch sense circuit open
•Transmission control relay output circuit open
•2C pressure switch sense circuit short to ground
•2C pressure switch sense circuit short to voltage
•2C pressure switch
•TCM - 2C pressure switch


these pressre switches are inside the pan on the valve body

After changing the trans sensor slipping stopped its shifting great the only thing is overdrive is engaging at a hire rpm the rest works well.
