Will it overheat when idle or only when driving?

Not if in park but if it's idling in gear like at stop or in slow traffic then yes. Temp starts going up as soon as fan kicks on.

You should try flushing the radiator and putting new coolant in. Sounds like there is not enough flow because it only over heats when the engine is under load. Flushing the radiator and putting fresh coolant in will definitely help the cooling system function properly.

You may need to get the radiator core cleaned, just a flush may not dislodge sediment clogging core tubes.
