2002 Hyundai Accent GL 1.6 doc

I have a 2002 Huyandai Accent 1.6 doc with 80,000 miles used for a grocery getter and errand runner. It is only getting 52 miles on a half tank of fuel. Starts good has good power and has no overheating problems, was just serviced with oil, air filter, plugs, oil and air idle control. Has no fuel smell's like raw fuel. Starts fine and no stalling. IF it is running good, there is a chance the fuel gauge is not reading properly. Fill the tank, write down the mileage at that time and run it down to 1/2 tank. Refill and the devide the number of mile you drove by the number of gallons you used.
