New struts

How do I tell if my car needs new struts?

If they are leaking externally or if the vehicle is very 'bumpy'. Typically after you hit a bump in the road, a vehicle with bad shocks will continue to bounce after the initial jounce.

Sometimes it can be very hard to tell if your own personal vehicle needs struts, because you are used to how it feels. So you can go by mileage/age. A 2002 with 75,000miles, needs struts if they are original.

Thank you for the response. That sounds about right for what has been happening with my car. And you hit it right on the head--I am used to how the car drives and reacts to bumps so I didn't even notice the bouncing until it was mentioned to me.
