Car slow to acceleration after deceleration from high speed. The RMP does not move during this slow acceleration irrespective of pressure applied to the gas pedal. What could be the problem with this vehicle?

Hi KHLow2008. Sorry for the slow response. The MIL initially was up, but had to remove the battery terminal due to some maintenance work on the vehicle. Up till now, the MIL has not come up again, three weeks now.

This might require a scan tool to monitor the various sensors to be able to diagnose the problem.

Try checking if there are any trouble codes. The MIL not indicating does not necessarily mean no trouble codes.

Check for clogging of exhaust system.
Monitor the HO2S sensors operations.

Scanned the vehicle. Code p0420. The scanner also displayed misfire, 02 HTR, EGR, though only one error code was displayed.

P0420 is a fault with the catalytic converter or HO2S. EGR progblem can cause misfirings. All the above can be related to your problem so you need to have them tested.
