Open circuit, perhaps. The temp sensor for the outside temp should be behind the grille. See if it is disconnected, or replace the sensor. I am not certain, but does the mirror have a compass as well? Does the compass work? The 'OC' could have something to do with compass calibration. When did the error code appear?

yes the compass works,this has been happening for quite awhile. the display would read crazy symbols and it would display temps way off, now just OC. i will check for that sensor, thanks
