My 2002 ford F250 7.3 liter keeps running the fuel bowl out. The problem is intermittent. I change the filter every 3000. I just changed the filter 4 days ago and last night the bowl ran dry again. After pulling off the bowl cap and taking the filter out the bowl filled up and it stated again. This is the second time in 8 days this has happened. Do I have a pump or sending unit problem

Symptoms indicates a leakage in the delivery line or filter bowl allowing air to get into the system. Check for signs of diesel stains along the lines indicating leaks.

Clean up stains if necessary and apply 20 psi air pressure from the fuel filler and recheck for signs of leakage.
