2002 ford f150 just had all its oils change at mr lube and now it is leaking where the drive shaft meets the rear axel, How serious of a problem is this and how much does it cost to repair?

did they do a service on the differential??

it is called a pinion seal. the seal is about 22, the labor is about 1.2 hours. easy fix.

PINION SEAL D.I.Y. EASY REMOVE DRIVESHAFT YOU WILL SEE A LARGE NUT MAYBE 32 TO 36 MM. YOU MITE TRY TO TIGHTEN IT. IF THAT DOESNT WORK REMOVE THE NUT TAKE A FLAT TIP SCREW DRIVER & A HAMMER GO AROUND THE EDGES OF THE SEAL TIL YOU POP IT OUT GET A NEW 1 PLACE IT STRAIGHT IN TAKE PIECE OF WOOD LAY IT FLAT AGAINST THE SEAL POP IT WITH A HAMMER TIL IT GOES FLUSH IN PLACE REPLCE NUT DONT OVER TIGHTEN PUT DRIVESHAFT BACK IN AND YOUR DONE!BILLYQUARTER@FRONTIER.COM IF ANY ?????
