2002 Ford F-150 Repair Question

Ford F-150 Engine Problem
I have a code P1747 Epc solenoid. My engine seems to lose power when trying to accellerate, rpm's Drop . Is this normal from an engine when the epc solenoid shorts out?

not only will you lose power you can burn your trans up from not enough pressure.
