2002 escape separate half shaft from intermediate shaft
2002 escape 2wd 3.0L automatic.
I cannot separate the right half shaft from the the intermediate shaft. I have it removed from the vehicle. I have tried prying it apart as the manual says and it will nit budge. Any help would be appreciated.

The first three images are for illustration purposes. The last one is a screenshot of the instructions I believe you're looking for.

Rivermikerat,
The screen shot of directions is for removal of the wheel hub bearing and not the separation of the right half shaft from the intermediate shaft. Thanks

Ok. Try these. The middle image is Fig 13 referred to in the screenshot. You may need to use something like WD-40 to help separate them. If that doesn't work, you may have to apply heat to expand the outer portion.
