My car overheated and the engine coolant/water light came on

However the gauge showed mid way between H & C (normal). I thought maybe the water was low,but when I checked it..it was full & bubbling up. The next day I had a friend replace the thermostat. Now it won't hold water, it drains out within 5 to 10 mins. He re installed it with and O ring, but it still drains out.

you need a shop to find the leak and see if you have damaged the motor.
