2002 Intrepid 2.7 car started bucking when accelarating but let off gas ran fine until accelarated again

The car ran fine until I stopped. When starting and leaving the car started bucking and losing power. When I let off gas peddle it picked back up and when I accelarated it started bucking again until I let off gas. If I slowly applied throttle it would run ok. I had used cruise control all day but when this started cruise would not come back on.

Is the check engine light on? It sounds like a missfire from your description.
