Okay, I'm going to word this the best I can...

A while back, my car went into Limp Mode. Anytime I tried to accelerate over 40, it did this strange shudder-jerk thing that felt an awful lot like seizing...

I'm having this same shudder-jerk issue, minus the limp mode. And my searches through forums have showed me that a ton of people have a problem with jerking as they come to a stop, switch between 1st and 2nd gear, and accelerate from a stop. I have NONE of these. The speed doesn't effect it, shifting gears doesn't effect it, I do not need to be accelerating but it will happen when I'm doing so. It's happened while coming out of a stop just once, it happens when I've got the cruise control set at 60mph.

My fluids are good. I stay on top of those. The filters are all good.

I think it MIGHT be the torque converter? But, I'd really prefer that it wasn't.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

(Also, I plan on taking it up to the auto parts store to have a check done... But, my car throws so many codes, ha.)

we need the codes. a parts store has salesman not technicians. they will sell you parts but codes never identify bad parts just failed systems.

it does sounds like a torque converter failure.

lets start with the codes
