I am wondering what would cause my car to stall then turn over but not stay running?

This is the first time this has happened, I have 1 person telling me it sounds like a timing issue and another telling me its a fuel pump issue.

try cleaning the throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner and iac valve hole. then check fuel pressure it should be 53-63 psi but you need a scan tool to activate teh pump.
