My 2002 Chrysler 300m alarm system dash light after being armed will start to flash rapidly again as if it's trying to rearm. When activating the alarm either with the interior door lock switch or remote it properly sequences from the status light flashing rapidly then switching over to a slow flash confirming the alarm is armed. After a while the light will return to a rapid flash mode as if the alarm is arming again, what could cause this?

Some systems when idle and unarmed will automatically re arm after an amount of time. It may be an option in your settings.

What kind of system is it? Have you had battery issues and removed the cable? That may have changed the settings back to de fault.

It's a factory alarm system and the problem is when it goes back into a rapid flash mode it never resets.

The control module for the alarm is seeing something that is disarming it or a command to dis arm it. You need an alarm shop to plug into it and see what is commanding this alarm ti dis arm.
