2002 Chevrolet Silverado Air Conditioning select dial

A/C fan turns on, however the air does not make it to the vent. I think the dial selector has failed. When I made a change to selector dial, like heat their was a odd sound. Now the sound is gone and the vent is blocked when I want A/C.

Is the air coming out of a different vent like the windshield or foot vents?

Has the blower motor or any of it's wiring been replaced recently?

A Yes the windshield defrost vents

The mode doors are operated by an electric actuator mounted on the left side of the HVAC box. The actuator could be bad or the mechanism or air door could be jammed. It will have to be inspected to find out.
