My car continues to shut off after being started It will start right back up but cuts of again once I remove my foot form the gas pedal I have had the oil change Coolant was low so I replaced that repl aced the thermostat It smokes form around the oil cap but ive been tild its just the old oil that was wasted I done a radiator flush TheAC still works but thecar is not drivable What could be the cause of this? What else can I have checked to figure out how to fix my car

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure first

How do I scan for codes & I have a half tank of gas I'm at my wits end I've spent so much money trying to get this car back on the road one mechanical says to replaced the fuel pump but u just had that done last summer I do realize t there's no definite answers without physically seeing my car I am simply looking for some untainted advice Most of the mechanics around here knows my family & their financial background which is not my finacials but its hard for them to see past that Thank you so much for your speedy response I guess I'll continue to explore Thank you again

Auto parts do it for free otherwise you have to thave it towed to a shop if it doesn't run or stay running. They will have to check fuel pressure ieven if the pump was replaced lst year.

What would be the better approach to fixing my car? I took it to Autozone to have it scanned for codes, here are the ones that appeared PO481, po480, po101

Take this to a pro the 480and 481 are cooling fan problem and you need a scan tool that auot parts dont' have to see if they can test by turning certain thing off and on. The other is a maf sensor yo might try cleaning it with choke cleaner but a lot of times they are bad or there is an air lek in engine like a grommet os something off of valvecover. MAF sensor is the thing in air duct leading to engine there is an electrical connecteor there.
