2002 Chevrolet Avalanche Repair Question

Replaced fuel pump on 5.3 lt ,4 times in a year and half . trying figure out was there a recall for this particular truck and if not what could it be

Fuel pump keeps going is there particular reason for this and why

Make sure the fuel pressure regulator is good. Other than that, you may be getting a poorly built pump if it is aftermarket.

Fuel pump failure is not a reason that would ever trigger a recall because it doesn't qualify under recall guidelines. GM trucks have had a know problem for years with the contacts at the fuel pump plug not being tight enough. Most pumps come with a different type pigtail now. I would also agree that it likely has a lot to do with the quality of the pumps you are using.
