I have a 2002 buick rendezvous that has a heater/ac problem. At first only the level 5 blower setting worked then eventually stopped. I replaced the blower motor resistor per a previous post. It still does not work. I have checked all the fuses I think apply and they are not burned out. The panel that has the heater AC control also has the rear defrost. This entire panel does not seem to work. Occassionally, rarely, it will turn and the entire panel begins to work again. If I change the blower setting from 5 to 1 or 2 to 3 the panel shuts off - no more heat or AC or rear defrost. Help I am at my wits end.

Hi this is controlled by the bcm body control module. Some times you can unplug the panel and then plug back in and it will reset. If this don't work then you most likely will need a new bcm. But it is advisable to have it diagnosed at an electrical shop to avoid buying unreturnable elec parts.

You can also try disconnecting the neg batt cable for 5 mins and see if the bcm will pick it back up. Hope this helps
