BCM change out

How do you change the BCM on a 02 buick century? Can I get 1 from a junk yard?

Here is the problem with geting a used bcm it has your mileage stored meaning you would be changing your milege to. What ever the used bcm has. There easy to change but the brand new one needs to be programed with your mileage etc. That would be a dealer that has the tools to do that.

Thank you, so I can put in a used 1 and it would work. But a new 1 would be the best way to go?

A used one you have a mileage issue and would possibly have a options issue even a used one you would have to have the key fobs programed relearn the pass lock or option differences explain the mileage difference to the dmv and your insurance company.A new one would be the way to go. Iam all for used parts when you can but the bcm I would say go for a new one.
