2001 Toyota Corolla Repair Question

I have a 2001 Toyota corolla. How do I predict if one of my sensors are bad?

I changed the fuel pump and it still kills. When I start it, it comes on then kill.

so you cant keep it running even if your push gas pedal to increase rpm?
