Toyota Corolla 2001 model year. I have a Powerloc starter disabler device on it as well. Two days already where it starts with a noticeble delay. Today when I turned it on, I heard a new sound; and when I went to turn it off, the sound remained, like the starter was still running (or the fan-thingy kept running) I had no time to check. I had to leave the car like that to go to work. What should I ask my mechanic to check?

Sounds like the contacts in the starter solenoid could be the issue..the delay could be the poor contact and the run-on could be the contacts sticking in the start position

Because this is an aftermarket component, I recommend you find a dealer that sells and works on said product. We have no info for this brand device.
