Door lock 2001 Toyota Camry

I can't unlock the drivers side door on our 4 door Toyota Camry. The key will open the passenger side and all other locks simultaneously. We bought our Camry used, it didn't come with the remote. The former owners must have lost it.I had a new key made from the dealer, after several attempts to unlock the drivers door it got stuck and I almost didn't get it out. New key opens passenger door etc.I can unlock the drivers door from the inside using switch on armrest. What is wrong?

Either the tumbler is bad or the linkage from the tumbler is damaged or disconnected. You need to remove the door panel to confirm which is the problem.
