Toyota Camry Heater Problem

When the car idles the temp hand goes to the halfway mark and the heater is warm. when start down the road the temp hand falls to cold and the heater gets cool. runs good,no white exhaust. what could this be?

It sounds like you have a stuck thermostat. If it stays open, the engine won't warm up while driving. Check that first.
