Check engine light flashes at 65mph,
2001 Suzuki xl7 check engine light flashes at 65 mph, the mechanic said, multiple misfires.

That is possible. If the car hasn't been tuned up for a long time, it could be ignition related and need tuned up. However, it could be fuel related requiring the fuel pressure to be checked. Did he tell you anything other? That is a vague statement because many things could cause it.
