Porsche 911 Engine Problem
RATTLE FROM ENGINE BAY WHEN STARTED, RAN OK, ALL GAUGES OK, DROVE ABOUT 5 MILES AND WHEN I STOPPED SMOKE CAME FROM ENGINE BAY

It could be a loose plastic piece that is sitting against a hot pipe like the exhaust. Check for anything around the exhaust in the engine bay and under the car.
