WHAT WOULD MAKE TH VEHICHAL OVER HEAT

2001 Pontiac Montana • 134,000 miles

I'v changed the thermosta. The car over heats and cools itself and shoots back up all on its own, siting still or driving. With the cap off and car hot the fluid runs rite out of the cap.

Radiator cap, water pump, blown head gasket and cracked head or block, air lock and clogged radiator and the list goes on

How can you tell if you have a blown head gasket?

One way is a block test kit you can get @ a parts store or use a gas analyzer to check for hc reading in the cooling system.
