Made a right hand turn today, and the steering locked up, could not complete the turn without backing up and turning to the left.

There are a few possibilities;
Power steering rack failed
U-Joint at steering column failed
Blockage of tie rod on either side of steering rack
Ceisedor broken tie rod end inner and/or outer
Jack up the car when you get a chance and see if there is any obviouse blockage of tie rods.
Have you lost any power steering fluid?
Was the steering normal before this happened?
