Pontiac Aztek Fuse Problem

Headlight bulbs are fine.Tried new bulbs. All four corner signal lights work fine. On auto light position low beams work. When signal lever switched to high beam, left headlight completely goes out,low nor high works. Right side ok. Switch to low and low beams come back on. At times while signaling right turn high beam indicator on dash lights up.Also at times while in high beam position high beam indicator flashes. Is this a signal stat issue?

Fuses ok. As for the inadvertent movement we operated the switch several more times being careful as to refrain from the push or pull of the switch and the high beam indicator lit up again after many attempts.
