2001 Peugeot Boxer Repair Question

Restarting after running out of diesel
How do I restart a Peugeot Boxer 2001 van after running out of diesel? I have bled the injectors and manually pumped diesel into the system. There seems to be diesel in the injectors pump.

air in the lines is difficult to purge. do not crank it too long as you may damage the starter. worst case is an injector pump issue but not likely.

Thanks for the reply. Any ideas how I go about purging the air? I have loosened the top of the injectors, allowing diesel out and bled diesel out of the bottom of the filter.
