Nissan Primera Timing chain Problem

Hi, I have a Nissan Primera 1.8 Petrol which just broke down due to cutting out and not able to restart. I had it brought home by a professional recovery agency. The car is turning over fast when trying to start with no sound of trying to start. The recovery man suspected the timing chain or rocker assembly might have gone. There was no engine bang when the car cut out. I had a new timing chain fitted last year and the car was running quite well. It had cut out previously on a few occasions when rounding corners and had a tendancy to delay on finding power when accelerating on occasions. Any idea what the problem might be ? Thanks
