why does my rpm idle so high? why does my car cut off unless i give it gas in the morning?

my rpm idles all the way to the 5(5000) sometimes. there is no specific time. it is sometimes hard to stop the car because it pulls so hard. it worries me alot. also both blinkers blink fast and we changed the fuse and the light and they still blink fast and have for almost a year. when i first crank my car it cuts off unless i give it some gas then it stays on. thanks in advance for your advice
