Shutters during acceleration on incline, no hesitation on level road. Replaced 6 plugs, install new IM gaskets, replace fuel filter, add fuel additive to full tank gas. Still have same problem. RPM indicate below 1,000. Checked with scan tool, indicates # 3 & # 4 cylinder misfiring.

Have the compression checked. Any cylinder that has low compression would misfire. It could be due to leaking valves. Another thing to check would be the fuel injectors. You can try swapping them with other cylinders. Do you have any coolant losses or overheating issues? Try swapping the coil pack around to see if the misfires migrates, remember to mark the coil from the misfiring cylinders.

Mazda tribute misfire and low compression

if misfire check do a compression test if fail you may have bad exhaust valve, head cylinder or gasket. Time for the big pain that cost not to check fluids
