2001 Land Rover Freelander Repair Question

Land Rover Freelander Coolant Problem

On initial start up the cooling fans operate as soon as I turn on the ignition thus the engine takes a long time to get up to temp which inadvertantly effects the heater temp. I have never experienced this before I have a 2001 Td4

if it's a diesel check coolant temp switch and make sure coolant level is full if gas same thing
