2001 Hyundai XG300 Repair Question

Hyundai XG300 Problem
What would cause the bolt to break on the belt tensoner-just snap off at the block not the pully to the support but at thesupport yo block I hope I have been clear?

If it had been overtightened on previous installations, fatigue can be the cause, this is not all that uncommon to see,
