Its called a "brake switch". I guess it would be the foot brake. I have an automatic and it is hard for me to push in on the button that make it go from Park to drive. I have to struggle with it but once it is pushed in it is fine. If I hit the brake pedal a couple times with my foot, the button goes in easier for me. All I was told is that I am going to
need a brake switch. Hope u know what I am talking about, thanks jessica

THE SWITCH IS ABOUT $8.00 AND IT WILL TAKE 1/2 HR TO FIT
