You dont disable it the light is there to let you know you have a problem with the car.If you ignore the light you could do a lot more damage to other parts of the car depending on the issue of why the light is on.It doesnt come on just to annoy you or freak you out its there to let you know there is a problem with your car.Take it to a auto parts store and have them scan it for codes post the exact numbers not the code descriptions.It will be a letter and a followed by a four digit number.Let me know so i can help you.
